What is going on at The MoC.

There has been so much going on over the last 18 months that we aren't really sure where to start.

It has been a transitional time for our team, with two cafes closing at the beginning of 2023, all while we were setting up the welcome addition of a dedicated roasting and training space.

Wellington Street 

It’s sad to say that we will not be renewing the lease at our beloved Wellington Street cafe and will be leaving the space by the first quarter of 2025.

We know that there has been a good amount of speculation surrounding this location, and while we would love to share the particulars regarding what has kept us from signing a new lease, we are in the midst of a legal dispute with the landlord and are unable to share more than that at this time. 

We will keep you all up to date as regularly as possible with the status of the Wellington cafe and apologize for not being as transparent as we wish we could have been over the last few months. 

Branding/Website & New Products

We have launched our new website that offers a more immersive experience. 

Our goal is to be able to share information we feel will help anyone interested in specialty coffee to improve their overall experience with the products we feel so passionately about. 

Expect to see more regularly updated content and information about upcoming class dates in the coming weeks.

We are now offering a variety of home brewing equipment such as grinders and brewers.

Demo models are available in person at our coffee lab based on Colonnade Road South. 

New Laurier Location

We are incredibly excited to announce our new downtown location which we expect to open this September. 

Situated just off Elgin Street, at 141 Laurier, this is an area that we have been able to call home since the very beginning of The Ministry of Coffee’s journey.

Offering locals and professionals a refined, high quality cafe experience that will produce a full range of grab and go food items and allow us to showcase our flavor rich coffees.
