Batch Brewing

Brew for a crowd! Here’s our recommended recipe that are a good start for every coffee and every brewer, only minor adjustments needed!

While all brewers will differ in available functions, the ratios and brew times are the most important variables. The recommended water to coffee ratio is 55-65g of ground coffee per litre of water, so depending how strong you want to make your coffee, adjust the dose as needed. When more coffee used, the grind size should be slightly coarser.

In a Moccamaster, we use 100g of medium ground coffee with 1.5 litres of water.

  1. Rince the paper filter before use.

  2. Add the ground coffee to the filter and start the brewer

  3. With the moccamaster, we keep the exit valve shut, and stir the coffee grounds as the water is released, ensuring that all of the coffee has even contact with the water.

  4. At 45s, open the valve and allow the brewer to dispense the remaining water.

  5. The water should have fully run through the coffee bed after around 5 minutes
