Aeropress

To get the best out of your Aeropress, start here:

  1. Add a paper filter to the basket and lock it into place on the chamber, you can pre-wet the filter with some hot water and discard the flowthrough.

  2. Place the Aeropress on top of your cup

  3. Grind 16g of medium/fine coffee and add to Aeropress chamber

  4. Pour 220ml of boiling water onto the coffee

  5. Stir three times with a spoon and add the plunger to create a vacuum, let it sit for 1:30

  6. Remove the plunger, stir three times

  7. Add the plunger and slowly push down until you reach the bottom, you’ll hear a mall hiss

  8. Enjoy!

Chemex

To get the best out of your Chemex, start here:

  1. Place paper filter in to chemex with the thicker side covering the pouring spout

  2. Rinse paper thoroughly then discard the water from brewer

  3. Add 30g of medium coarse ground coffee

  4. Pour 100ml of 95c water onto ground coffee and mix lightly with a spoon to ensure all grounds are wet

  5. At 45s pour 200ml of water 

  6. At 1:30 pour another 100ml, then a final 100ml pour of at 2:00

  7. Total brew time should be from 3:30 - 4:00

French Press

To get the best out of your French Press, start here:

  1. For best results, preheat your French Press with boiling water, discard.

  2. Add 20g of medium/fine ground coffee

  3. Pour 300ml of boiling water and stir five times with a spoon

  4. Place the lid on top of the French press without pushing the plunger down

  5. Let sit for 3 minutes

  6. Slowly push the plunger down to the bottom

  7. Decant all of the brewed coffee immediately

  8. Enjoy!

V60

To get the best out of your V60, start here:

  1. Fold the seam of the filter flush to the filter and then fold the paper filter in half with the seam in the middle to help it stay open

  2. Place filter in  v60 cone and rinse with hot water, the filter should adhere to the sides of the brewer

  3. Grind 19 grams of medium/coarse coffee and add to filter

  4. Pour 80ml of just-off boiling water onto the coffee and push grinds side to side with a small spoon. 

  5. Leave to bloom for 45 seconds

  6. At 45 seconds, using a clockwise circular motion, quickly pour 120ml of hot water onto the coffee.

  7. At 1:30, pour another 50ml of hot water in a clockwise motion, then another 50ml at 2:00

  8. Lightly circle the top of the brew with a spoon to break up any floating coffee grounds

  9. Remove the brewer as soon as the water disappears under the bed of coffee which should be between 2:30 and 3:00
